Recent US Taliban deal will lead to evacuation of US forces from Afghan region. The trump administration took this step to gain domestic advantage in upcoming polls instead of actually realising an effective solution to attain Peace Process. India is also going to get affected in following way:
- Taliban will get legitimacy with the deal and two power centre will be created in Afghanistan.
- Taliban is an extremist group and profess religious fundamentalism. It getting legitimacy can lead to weakening of civilian government. The other extremist group will also get patronage of Taliban.
- The extreme fundamentalist group are thereat to National security of India.
- India didn’t enjoy cordial relation with Taliban. India was the part of Northern alliance which was against the Taliban.
- There are the chances of increase in the involvement of Pakistan which is against the threat of India’s security.
- India has invested a lot in the developmental projects. The state of democracy and the Indian relation with Afghan can get affected. Taliban dominated Afghan will not promote good relation with Afghan which will be anti to the Indian development.
